Vaishno Devi Temple is a major Hindu pilgrimage dedicated to Goddess Vaishno Devi, regarded as a manifestation of Shakti. Located on the Trikuta hills near Katra in Jammu & Kashmir, pilgrims undertake a steep 13 km trek to the sanctum. The holy cave houses the three rock formations (Pindis) symbolic of the goddess. Pilgrims visit throughout the year, and the temple is managed under the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
