Amrit, Shubh, and Labh are considered the best Choghadiya timings for auspicious work.
Based on the current time, please check the highlighted section in the table above for the live Choghadiya.
There are seven types of Choghadiya: Amrit, Shubh, Labh (auspicious); Udveg, Rog, Kaal (inauspicious); and Char (neutral, sometimes considered good for travel).
The word Choghadiya literally means 'four ghatis' (a ghadi is 24 minutes), referring to a period of roughly 1.5 hours. It's an ancient Hindu astrological system for finding auspicious times.
Choghadiya is a quick and popular method for finding general auspicious timings, especially for travel. However, for major life events like marriage, a detailed Muhurat based on Panchang and planetary positions is recommended.
Choghadiya is calculated based on the duration between local Sunrise and Sunset for day Choghadiya, and Sunset and next day's Sunrise for night Choghadiya. Each period is approximately 1.5 hours.
It is generally advised to avoid starting new journeys or important tasks during Rog, Kaal, and Udveg Choghadiya as they are considered inauspicious and may lead to obstacles or negative outcomes.
